A public selection is announced, for the academic year 2025/2026, based on qualifications and examinations, open to Italian and EU citizens, as well as non-EU citizens, for admission to Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio, affiliated with the ArCoD Department of Politecnico di Bari.
The maximum number of students admitted to the first year of the course is 20, including 2 places reserved for non-EU candidates who are not permanent residents in Italy. Please note that non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy for any reason are treated as EU citizens for the purposes of this selection process.
The courses will take place both in Bari, at the ArCoD Department, and in Taranto at the former Convent of Sant’Antonio, Via Luigi Viola, which houses Soprintendenza Nazionale per il Patrimonio Culturale Subacqueo. Conferences and seminars related to the School’s activities may also be held at this venue.
Admission to “Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio” is reserved for holders of the following degrees according to the Italian university system:
• Old University System Degree (prior to Ministerial Decree 509/99):
o Architecture
• Specialist or Master’s Degree:
o Architettura e Ingegneria Edile – Class 4/S, M.D. 509/99
o Architettura e Ingegneria Edile-Architettura – Class LM-4, M.D. 270/04.
Candidates holding a second-level degree in the following fields may also be admitted, subject to the School’s evaluation of their academic curriculum to identify any educational gaps:
• Archeologia – Class 2/S M.D. 509/99; Class LM-2 M.D. 270/04;
• Conservazione dei Beni Architettonici e Ambientali – Class 10/S M.D. 509/99; Class LM-10 M.D. 270/04;
• Conservazione e Restauro del Patrimonio storico-artistico – Class 12/S M.D. 509/99;
• Conservazione e Restauro dei Beni Culturali – Class LM-11 M.D. 270/04;
• Storia dell’Arte – Class 95/S M.D. 509/99; Class LM-89 M.D. 270/04;
Admission for candidates with degrees in the above fields is subject to the evaluation of their individual academic curriculum to determine any educational debts.
Candidates with a degree obtained abroad (II Level Degree: Master’s Degree, Master of Science/Arts, etc.) may also participate.
Candidates already holding a recognized equivalency issued by an Italian university must attach a self-certification including the relevant reference details (indication of the provision details, etc).
For foreign degrees not yet recognized as equivalent, the Evaluation committee will assess their suitability in accordance with Italian law, the legislation of the awarding country, and international agreements on recognition of qualifications. To support this assessment, candidates must upload any relevant supporting documents with their online application.
All candidates are admitted provisionally until their eligibility requirements are verified. Politecnico di Bari may conduct this verification at any time, even after the start of the course, in accordance with Art. 43 of Presidential Decree 445/2000. Candidates may be excluded at any time by reasoned decision.
All candidates are required to pay the Competition Fee, equal to € 30,00, using the online payment system PagoPA (see the link https://www.poliba.it/it/didattica/bacheca/pagopa).
To make this payment, the candidate must access the “Pagamenti” section of their Esse3 reserved area, after completing the application for admission, including all the required attachments.
Only for candidates resident abroad: if it is not possible for candidates to pay using the PagoPA system, payment will also be accepted by bank transfer payable to: Politecnico di Bari – via G. Amendola, 126/B – 70126 Bari. The bank details are: IBAN: IT59X0306904067100000300001 BIC: BCITITMM – description: “Iscrizione concorso Scuola di Specializzazione in Beni Architettonici e del Paesaggio – A.A. 2025/2026”. Only candidates making payment in this way are required, before deadline date, to attach a copy of the bank transfer payment and a declaration of failed administration fee payment (“Dichiarazione di impossibilità al pagamento del contributo di partecipazione alla procedura concorsuale mediante PagoPA”), to be compiled using the form attached to the call.
Under no circumstances will refunds be issued (i.e. exclusion, withdrawal, absence, etc.). The sole fee payment of €30 does not in itself constitute an application in the absence of an online application form, even if payment is made before the deadline.
